God's Emerging Mosaic

I don't know about you, but as hard as I try, it seems like "life" is either good or bad based on the kind of day I've had. If I'm tired, emotionally, physically, spiritually, then "life" feels like that.

If it's been a nutritious day (like today), "life" is wonderful.

But "life" isn't just one day. It's a series of days, moments, breaths and events. My hubby and I have chosen to see what God is doing with us and contemplate life as more of a mosaic, if you will. A dark tile has a place in a mosaic just as a yellow tile does.

So, I had this idea. I'm keeping a calendar to see what our days' colors look like. I don't expect any type of picture to emerge, for sure, but it will be kind of like a journal of sorts...allowing us to see a little more clearly this mosaic called "life."

Crafting,
Lila

Susan, my friend, you look at the world in a completely different way than I do -- and I'm so blessed to know you for it. Giving a day a color? Never would have thought of it! That is a stretch for me, but I may try to think in those terms. Today will be a muted day -- because of the dreary gray skies, but it will have some color. What is the color of purposeful and getting things acccomplished and checked off a list? That sounds green to me... :-)

I love that idea. My "mosaic" as it were is held in the back of my Bible, instead of writing notes I record my biggest most impossible prayer requests date them, and then if they are answered, the way I wanted them or not... I record that as well... It's a pattern of grace a reminder of beauty and memories.

I am a friend of Sarah's. . .and I think giving a color to a day is awesome. Also, is your sister Beth from Houston who teaches math?
If so, then we have something else in common. She and I taught together for several years. I only ask because she mentioned a B&B in the Abilene area that her sister owns.
